Introduction

The Legal Affairs Department of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) operates directly under the supervision of the Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Managing Director of the Company.

The department's primary responsibilities include establishing corporate legal policies in accordance with the latest national laws, regulations, and international legal frameworks; supervising the preparation and management of legal claims, litigation, and proceedings before domestic and international courts and judicial authorities; overseeing all land, property registration, and title matters; supervising the preparation and review of domestic and international contracts; participating in various committees and commissions; attending meetings of the Board of Directors of NIORDC; and, where necessary, providing guidance and support to the heads of legal departments within subsidiary companies and affiliated management units.

The department is also responsible for preparing and drafting the articles of association of subsidiary companies, amending existing articles of association, registering them with the relevant authorities, and proposing amendments to ensure alignment with the objectives and operational requirements of NIORDC and its subsidiaries.
