TEHRAN (NIORDC) __ The National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company (NIOEC) is planning to build a 26-inch pipeline from Bandar Abbas to Mehraran with a daily capacity of 300,000 barrels.
The operator of the project said laying the pipes for the Bandar Abbas, Sirjan and Rafsanjan pipeline has started on the Eid al-Adha.
Ali Khanipour added: "The Bandar Abbas-Mehraran pipeline project aims to transfer 300,000 barrels per day of petroleum products including gasoline, kerosene and diesel from the Persian Gulf Star refinery to Mehraran Oil Transfer Center."
Khanipour stated that the project would be completed by relying on domestic forces, adding the maximum use of local manufacturers will be made in the 249-km project.
He also added that licensing rounds would be held in order to select capable providers of the items needed for the project including pipes, valves and fiber optic cables.
The project will be developed by a consortium of Khatam Al-Anbia (PBUH) Construction Headquarters and Tadbir Energy Gostar Iranian Company (TEGIC) and its consultant is Pars Consulting Engineers Group.
It should be noted that the Bandar Abbas-Sirjan-Rafsanjan pipeline is being developed with the aim of transferring products of Persian Gulf Star Refinery to the center of the country.
