Dr. Mehdi Dezh Hosseini serves as Research and Technology Manager at the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC). He has extensive experience in petroleum refining, research and development, technology management, organizational excellence, and strategic planning within Iran's downstream petroleum industry.

His previous professional appointments include:

Dr. Dezh Hosseini has conducted extensive research in petroleum refining, catalysis, nanotechnology, supercritical fluid technologies, and downstream energy policy. His research and development activities include:

• Upgrading heavy crude oil using supercritical water technology
• Development and synthesis of advanced nanocatalysts for petroleum refining applications
• Heavy oil phase behavior analysis under supercritical water conditions
• Low-temperature catalytic conversion processes
• Research on aerogel production in collaboration with Panasonic Corporation
• Analysis of gasoline and diesel supply-demand balances and evaluation of pricing and non-pricing policy measures
• Development of governance frameworks for the refining industry, including policy-making, regulation, development, and operational oversight
• Research on value chain development and business expansion strategies in the refining and petrochemical industries
